Adam Sandler’s Oscars 2025 Appearance Forces Stephen Curry’s Brand to Re-Release Iconic Sneakers

Stephen Curry doesn’t need any help to promote his brand, but it must be great for the Golden State Warriors’ point guard when one of the biggest Hollywood stars does it anyway.

Adam Sandler’s appearance at the Oscars last night created a frenzy amongst fans for Curry’s iconic shoes. The four-time NBA champion has obliged as well.

Adam Sandler Makes Stephen Curry Re-Release Sneakers as Fans Clamor

Sandler appeared on the 97th annual Academy Awards show for a bit with the host Conan O’Brien. The Happy Gilmore actor is known for his athleisure fit, and he didn’t change that for a tuxedo on Hollywood’s biggest night as well.

Sandman paired the “Championship Mindset” Under Armour Curry 11 with a floral t-shirt, a light blue hoodie, and blue shorts. This line of sneakers was originally dropped in January 2024 but, due to the surge in demand, has been released once again, as reported by NBA insider Brett Siegel on X (formerly Twitter).

“Adam Sandler was wearing the Curry 11’s ‘Championship Mindset’ last night at The Oscars. Due to the immediate demand for the shoe after Sandler’s appearance wearing them, UA and Curry Brand will re-release these sneakers in limited quantities this week,” he tweeted.

The pair of sneakers is available on Under Armour’s website for the same price of $160 as it was in Jan. 2024.

Curry Responds to Sandler’s Fashion Statement

As the skit performed by Conan and Sandler went viral, the 11-time NBA All-Star took to his Instagram to share his reaction. In a since-expired Instagram story, he posted a picture of Sandler’s clothing and tagged him with the caption, “Great choice.”

Curry’s partnership with Under Armour began in 2013 after signing a contract worth $4 million per year. They launched the Curry Brand in 2020, under which the sneakers worn by Sandler were released, among others.

The 36-year-old signed a lifetime deal with the brand in 2023 worth $215 million and also acquired a minority stake in the company.
