Corey Heim once again proved why he’s one of NASCAR’s most promising young drivers, taking home the checkered flag in a dramatic NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
This marks his second win of the season, and it didn’t come easy. Despite an early pit road penalty, Heim bounced back, showing skill, patience, and determination to secure another victory.
Perhaps most importantly, Heim showed his flexibility, once again securing a victory under imperfect weather conditions.
A Tough Start and a Brilliant Comeback for Corey Heim
The Las Vegas race wasn’t an easy one for Heim. Early in Stage 1, he was hit with a pit road speeding penalty, dropping him back in the field. However, a stellar pit stop by his Tricon Garage Toyota crew under caution on Lap 86 put him into the lead — and that was all he needed to secure his second win of the season.

By the final stage, Heim had led 42 of the 134 laps, proving he had the speed to win. But it was in the closing moments that he truly showcased his talent. With just a few laps remaining, he made a bold move to overtake Layne Riggs, sealing the victory in style.
His ability to recover from a costly mistake and still dominate the race is what makes him such an exciting driver to watch.

Heim Is a Star on the Rise
At just 22 years old, Corey Heim has already built a reputation as one of the most talented young racers in the Truck Series. His strong performances have earned him a spot as a development driver for 23XI Racing, the team co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan and NASCAR star Denny Hamlin.
Despite his talent, Heim was passed over for a full-time Cup Series seat at 23XI in favor of Riley Herbst, reportedly due to sponsorship considerations. But that hasn’t slowed him down. Instead, he continues to dominate in the Truck Series, proving he belongs at NASCAR’s top level.
Fans and analysts have taken notice, with some calling Heim “a talent merchant.” His ability to perform under pressure, recover from setbacks, and consistently challenge for wins makes him a standout in the field.
With two wins already this season, Heim is on a roll. If he keeps up this level of performance, it won’t be long before he moves up to NASCAR’s highest level.
For now, though, he’s making sure everyone knows his name in the Truck Series — one dominant victory at a time.
