‘Way Better Than Harvick’ – NASCAR Fandom Heaps Praise on Kyle Busch’s Latest Side Hustle at Las Vegas

The Xfinity Series LiUNA! race in Las Vegas saw Justin Allgaier make up for the heartbreak at Phoenix, with the JR Motorsports driver taking home the checkered flag. While fans celebrated Allgaier’s win, another moment made the race even more exciting: Kyle Busch in the commentary booth!

As rumors of a possible retirement spread, Busch decided to try his hand at NASCAR commentary, and fans think the 39-year-old may have found the perfect post-racing career.

Kyle Busch Gets Race Reviews From NASCAR Fans

The Vegas native took center stage in the booth while Parker Kligerman was away covering the 12 Hours of Sebring. Busch then posted on X about his time on the broadcast, captioning a photo, “Good time in the broadcast booth today. Who wants more?”

Busch’s deep knowledge of the Xfinity Series was on display throughout the race. Beyond providing detailed analysis, he also built great chemistry with his co-commentators.

Fans thought Busch was a natural in the booth, calling one of the most thrilling races of the season so far. One fan even said Busch was better than Kevin Harvick, while many agreed he was “tremendous.”

Meanwhile, some NASCAR fans called for networks to sign Busch as a broadcaster whenever he decides to hang up his helmet for good.

With Busch putting on a strong performance as an analyst, the driver long considered NASCAR’s “villain” quickly became a fan favorite. He was informative, detailed, and fit in well with the rest of the broadcast team. Fans now hope to see him more in the booth, maybe even calling Truck Series races.

If Busch chooses this path, he wouldn’t be the first driver to transition from racing to broadcasting. After leaving Stewart-Haas Racing in 2014, Harvick swapped his firesuit for a headset, joining Fox Sports as a race analyst. The likes of Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeb Burton, and Clint Bowyer have also gone from racing stock cars to analyzing them.

Busch could join that list if he decides to pursue broadcasting. But before that happens, he’s focused on ending his 61-race winless streak. While he’s had a solid season overall, the Richard Childress Racing driver has yet to capture a win and snap the streak. After starting the Vegas race from P4, “Rowdy” is hoping to close out the weekend with a victory.
