Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Joey Logano recently found himself competing in an off-beat event, facing off against WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark. Panini America, a sponsor of both athletes, organized the challenge, which saw the two icons take each other on.
Known for the production of officially licensed collectibles, Panini America is one of the leading multinational producers of trading cards, stickers, and other relevant products. Owing to the same, the brand organized a “pack-ripping challenge” between Logano and Clark.

Taking to X to upload the clip of the challenge, Logano wrote, “Think you could rip a pack faster than us? You know @CaitlinClark22 and I weren’t going to pass up on a friendly @PaniniAmerica competition!”
He then proceeded to ask his followers what they thought should their next challenge be – “What should our next competition be… race or play a game of horse?”

Ripping open a pack ahead of the Ambetter Health 400, Logano lost to Clark by 0.75 seconds. The WNBA star opened her pack in 3.26 seconds and revealed she had packed a Kyle Larson card. Meanwhile, the Team Penske driver needed 4.01 seconds to open his pack and find American-Macedonian basketball player DeWanna Bonner’s card inside.
While Logano claimed the Larson card was a “good pick,” Clark revealed she and Bonner were teammates in the WNBA series, playing for the Indiana Fever.
Both athletes found Panini America as their sponsor in 2024, with Clark signing a multi-year exclusive contract with the organization. Meanwhile, the Irving-based company sponsored Logano’s No. 15 Ford Mustang in the 2024 Xfinity Series.
Ahead of Super Bowl 59, the two Panini America athletes met up during the 2025 Panini Prizm Super Bowl Lounge. While there, Logano gifted Clark a signed Kyle Busch card while asking her if she knew who Busch was. While the Fever guard did not make it clear if she knew who Busch was, Clark was still very eager to get her hands on the signed card.
