Two-time winner of the Daytona 500, William Byron, is making all the headlines, but not for his racing abilities. The No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro driver has raised a lot of eyebrows with his comment on pop star Sabrina Carpenter’s latest post on Instagram.
An actress and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, Carpenter was recently featured on the cover of Vogue magazine and posted a photo of the same on her feed. Seeing the 25-year-old’s post, Byron dropped a “Hii” in the comments, which he proceeded to delete shortly after. However, eagle-eyed fans had already started to cook up stories about what was going on.

Rumor has it that Byron is no longer romantically involved with Erin Blaney. Sister of the 2023 Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney, Erin and Byron started seeing each other in 2019, which was his second year driving for Hendrick Motorsports.
And now, fans on social media are even more convinced of the rumor, further suggesting that Byron has found himself a new leading lady.
Meanwhile, Carson Hocevar has also had his say on the matter after being put in the spot during a gaming livestream, as seen on the X post uploaded by @dailydownfords. One fan asked Hocevar if he had seen Byron’s comment on the post, to which he replied in favor of the fellow Chevrolet driver.

The 22-year-old said, “Yeah, Byron let me borrow his Lambo the other day and then flew me on his private jet back from Daytona right after he won. So, I appreciate that.” He added, “Sabrina is lucky to have him,” before amending his statement to “would be lucky to have him.”
Over on the racing front, the Hendrick Motorsports driver is enjoying major success, as he became the youngest-ever driver to win the Daytona 500 twice. With him now in the playoffs, Byron can take a little breather and maybe even work on his love life, hoping to keep the good luck streak going.
