Myles Garrett demanding a trade from the Cleveland Browns kicked Super Bowl week into high gear. A Defensive Player of the Year with at least 14 sacks in each of the last four seasons, Garrett is a true game-breaker for any team in the league.
Now, speculation on where he could end up is out in full force. With his parting message specifically stating his intentions of competing for a Super Bowl, it is safe to assume that Garrett is going to walk into a strong situation. And there are three teams he believes fit the bill.

Myles Garrett Has 3 Teams in Mind for Next Season
The six Pro Bowls and four first-time All-Pro nominations are a testament to the defensive end’s incredible productivity in the league. Since coming into the league as the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, he has also been among the most durable players in the league.
But, with an eye on Championship success, he has three teams in mind within the same division where he could be impactful. Making an appearance on “The Zach Gelb Show,” he talked about the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential destination.
“We went there [to Philadelphia] for a preseason. I definitely got me a cheesesteak. It lived up to my hopes. I’m not going to stay too attached to any one team at this point. I know my fate is really not in my hands, but it would be a hell of a destination.”
From an on-field perspective, the Eagles had the second-best defense in the league according to PFN’s Defense+ metric, with a bunch of youth to meet Garrett’s timeline. Moreover, with two Super Bowl appearances in the last three seasons, they would scratch that competitive itch for him as well.
The second team, however, has one special player that would make it all the more interesting for Garrett. Playing for America’s Team while sharing the defense with another wrecker like Micah Parsons would be an elite opportunity. However, it’s a tough proposition given the contract situations, along with the upcoming extension for Parsons.

“It could be, It’d be tough. I know (Micah Parsons’) new contract is coming up here soon, and same with me, I’m up for an extension in the near future as well. So it could be tough, but if they want to figure it out, it’s very possible.”
There is one other team, though. Far younger than either of those two squads and with a real deficiency on the defensive end, the Washington Commanders have ample cap space to accommodate Garrett now and in the future with an extension.
On an appearance with Sports Illustrated, a similar conversation came up, and it seemed like he would welcome a move to the Commanders. “I mean, they need a pass rusher. I think that’s something that they dearly missed in the playoffs and some of their big games. And I feel like I could fill that role.”

He went further with his description, signaling the need for an elite quarterback to support a Championship roster. “Any playoff team, or any championship team, they’re gonna have a quarterback, a good quarterback.
“You’ve seen some game managers go out there with a great defense and win it all. But if you wanna consistently be at the top, you gotta have a really good quarterback.”
Would playing alongside a rising star like Jayden Daniels appeal to Myles Garrett?
"Absolutely."

And, according to him, Jayden Daniels, who many believe had the greatest rookie quarterbacking season of all time, is firmly in the “good quarterback” category. “Absolutely, he looked great. … He’s really done it and been very composed throughout the entire season. He can only continue to flourish if he keeps his head down and continues to work.”
It seems like Garrett has made up his mind on which division he’s heading to with his trade request. Whether it is any of these three teams or a surprise option emerging in the near future, the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year has the talent to make or break a team’s season.
