Madden NFL 25 is here, and fans are talking a lot about this year’s game.
With over 700 players in the game, let’s examine the 10 most disrespected players based on their ratings in this year’s Madden.
10 Most Underrated Players in Madden NFL 25
Aaron Rodgers (83 Overall)
The former MVP is one of the best players in the entire game, and his 83 overall seems way too low, even for a guy coming off an injury.
In Madden NFL 25, Aaron Rodgers has the best release and comes equipped with the “gunslinger” ability, which gives him extra velocity on his throws.
Breece Hall (85 Overall)
Speaking of Jets, Breece Hall has been taking the Madden community by storm with how overpowered he is early in the game. His spin move is basically unstoppable and resembles that of Quinshon Judkins in EA Sports College Football 25.
Trevor Lawrence (77 Overall)
I know Trevor Lawrence had a disappointing 2023 season, but 77 overall seems way too low for the former No. 1 overall draft pick.
Lawrence has a great arm, good weapons, and a lot of speed in this year’s version of the game.
C.J. Stroud (81 Overall)
Many people are high on the Texans this year, and rightfully so, especially after the additions of star receiver Stefon Diggs and Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon.
The Texans are loaded on offense, and I expect C.J. Stroud’s 81 overall to increase throughout the season.
James Cook (81 Overall)
Coming off a Pro Bowl season in which Bills running back James Cook was sixth in the NFL with over 1,500 yards from scrimmage, EA rating adjustors questionably rated him as an 81 overall. That puts him way down the list among running back rankings in this year’s game.
We expect this rating to increase drastically throughout the season.
Jordan Love (81 Overall)
Coming off a playoff season and now the highest-paid quarterback in the league, Jordan Love checks in as the 15th highest-rated quarterback in the game.
With good arm strength, good mobility, and equipped with one of the best releases in the game, we are shocked to see Love rated so low.
Garrett Wilson (85 Overall)
Another Jet on the list, Garret Wilson was surprisingly rated lower than teammate Mike Williams and checks in as the 26th-best receiver in the game.
With back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons despite subpar quarterback play, Wilson should be way higher.
Puka Nacua (84 Overall)
Puka Nacua broke almost every rookie receiving record there is in 2023 and earned a bid to the Pro Bowl, but he’s rated extremely low by EA rating adjustors.
Nacua dominated the NFL last season in Sean Mcvay’s offense and I highly doubt that ends any time soon.
Nico Collins (83 Overall)
Coming in nine overall rating points less than teammate Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins dominated in 2023.
With nearly 1,300 yards last year and eight touchdowns, Collins has a case to be the No. 1 receiver for this offense in 2024.
Trey McBride (82 Overall)
The Cardinals’ standout tight end checks in way too low in Madden NFL 25 after dominating in 2023 under new head coach Jonathan Gannon.
McBride is set to dominate again in 2024, according to most fantasy football and NFL experts, which is why we expect McBride’s ratings to increase throughout the year.
