Monday Night Football Tonight: Who Plays, TV Channel, Start Time, Live Stream Options, and More for Wild Card Round

Monday Night Football tonight features two NFC teams fighting to advance. Here's everything you need to know to watch the exciting matchup.

Monday Night Football tonight is back with an intriguing Super Wild Card Weekend matchup featuring two NFC teams looking to advance in the playoffs. The fourth-seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the fifth-seed Philadelphia Eagles with a chance to take on the Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round.

The Eagles come into this game as losers of five of their last six games as well as nursing injuries to key players, while the Buccaneers fought hard to secure an NFC South crown as Baker Mayfield and the boys look to continue Philadelphia’s late-season misery.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles will head south to take on Mike Evans and the Buccaneers in what promises to be a fun NFC Wild Card matchup. The Eagles will be without their No. 1 wide receiver A.J. Brown as he deals with a knee injury, but he’s not their only ailing star.

Hurts’ himself comes into the matchup nursing a dislocated middle finger on his throwing hand that prevented him from even throwing a football until Thursday of last week.

Despite that, he’s good to go for the matchup. Either way, it will be something to monitor for tonight.

Despite the late-season struggles, veteran right tackle Lane Johnson understands what’s at stake and what the mission is heading into this game.

“We’ve been playing like (expletive) the last month and a half and so hopefully with the pressure on, hopefully we will play to a certain standard,” Johnson said.

“There have been times here when we’ve suddenly turned things around — Nick’s [Sirianni, head coach] first year, for example, some years before that — and I think that us not playing well lately is going to impact our focus and try to be the team we were early in the year.

“Hopefully we get this running game going, be balanced, and have a clean game. Pound the rock. There hasn’t been a game where we feel like, ‘This is the Eagles.’ We’ve always felt like we’re wanting more.”

On the Buccaneers’ side, Evans and Co. have been gritty all season long and have found a groove heading into the final month of the season that they hope can sustain them through a playoff run. Tampa Bay comes into the matchup as underdogs despite being the home team with a higher seed and will look to prove naysayers wrong with a strong showing tonight.

While Philadelphia comes into the matchup with some health concerns, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles told reporters “Everybody’s good to go,” for his team.

That’s an important key for any team this late into the season, and having as many of your stars ready to go for a playoff matchup will only work to their benefit.
