Week 5 comes to an end during Monday Night Football tonight with a clash between two AFC West foes. Who is playing, what time does the game start, and how can you watch it?
Who Plays on Monday Night Football Tonight?
Teams
Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
Location
Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri
Monday Night Football tonight will showcase the Las Vegas Raiders as they travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs. Right now, the Chiefs are two games up on the Raiders in the division, and a loss here would drop Las Vegas to 1-4 on the year. With the Chargers and Broncos struggling, a win here for the Chiefs could help give them a stranglehold on the division and maintain atop the AFC in the NFL standings.
Both of these teams are coming into the game off double-digit victories the week prior. The Raiders, who were 2.5-point underdogs against the Broncos, got the straight-up victory 32-23. Meanwhile, the Chiefs dominated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in prime time during Sunday Night Football, 41-31.
[bet-promo id=”160004″ ]With the way the Chiefs have been playing, it’s no surprise they open this game as touchdown favorites at home. Kansas City is known for its exceptional home-field atmosphere, and fans will likely be extra motivated for this divisional rivalry. Additionally, this AFC West battle hasn’t been all that close recently, with Kansas City having won eight out of the last nine. Last year, in their two games, the Chiefs outscored the Raiders 89-23.
Nevertheless, this Raiders offense is a bit different this year. They’ve added Davante Adams and have the 13th-best pass offense in the league, averaging 243.3 yards per contest. Las Vegas has also found success on the ground with the 14th-best rushing offense. Will that be enough to keep up with Kansas City?
PFN’s Betting Director BJ Ruddell broke down this game in his Week 5 picks and predictions.
“While the Raiders’ run defense has improved, and the addition of Adams has been tremendous, they’re still giving up too many points. It will be hard for them to keep this one within single digits.”
