Monday Night Football tonight is back, as the suddenly surging Denver Broncos travel to Orchard Park, New York, to face the struggling Buffalo Bills.

Monday Night Football is back, as the Denver Broncos brave the cold and head to Orchard Park, New York, to face the embattled Buffalo Bills. This game is a story of two franchises heading in opposite directions, but it wouldn’t be the direction you would think, given their respective win-loss records.

The Broncos head into this road matchup playing their best football of the season, entering Monday night on a two-game winning streak with victories over the Green Bay Packers and AFC West rival and defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. The once-embarrassing Broncos defense has settled in, playing much better football.

The Bills, meanwhile, enter Monday night’s contest on shaky ground, losing two of their previous three games and three of their last five. Buffalo has been inconsistent all season. At their best, they remain one of the top teams in the NFL. When they’re struggling, the Bills can lose to anyone, which makes Monday night’s contest all the more intriguing.

Who Plays on Monday Night Football Tonight?

The Bills haven’t looked like themselves in 2023. They looked awful in London in a loss to the Jaguars and were fortunate to escape a Sunday night affair against the Giants with a victory. A loss to the lifeless Patriots and last week’s defeat at the hands of Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals leaves Buffalo in unfamiliar territory.

Buffalo has been the king of the AFC East recently, but the Miami Dolphins pose a legitimate threat to their reign. If the Bills don’t figure out their offensive issues, they may have to settle for a Wild Card berth in the playoffs.

Not all is doom and gloom in Orchard Park, though. The Josh Allen to Stefon Diggs connection is as strong as ever, and the Bills have developed a solid secondary option in rookie TE Dalton Kincaid. Kincaid committed a brutal turnover in last week’s loss, but don’t expect Buffalo to turn away from their emerging TE talent.

As for Denver, the Broncos have settled in defensively and have found balance on the offensive side of the ball. RB Javonte Williams is playing his best ball of the season, running well in between the tackles and setting up the play-action passing game for QB Russell Wilson.

Wilson should have his full complement of weapons on the outside tonight. Expect a closer outcome than many may anticipate, with Buffalo playing on a shorter week and Denver entering this contest off their bye week.
