Miles Sanders has spent a decent amount of his time in a Carolina Panthers uniform dealing with a groin injury.
Since Sanders is a bit dinged up, is it worth adding backup running back Chuba Hubbard to your fantasy football team? Let’s take a closer look.

Latest Injury News Surrounding Miles Sanders
After appearing on the injury report for Wednesday’s practice heading into their Week 4 showdown against the Minnesota Vikings, Sanders was once again a limited participant on Thursday and is questionable for Sunday.
#Panthers QB Bryce Young was a full participant with his ankle injury and he’s off the injury report. Good to go. Meanwhile, RB Miles Sanders (groin) is questionable.

This is a little problematic, seeing that Sanders dealt with a groin injury back in August. He sustained that injury during a training camp practice, which ended up costing him a lot of time leading up to the season.
Unfortunately, this update does put his status for Week 4 in considerable jeopardy against the Vikings. It may be time for fantasy managers to start considering a contingency plan if Sanders can’t go this week.
Should You Add Backup Chuba Hubbard?
While Sanders was able to play late into the fourth quarter of their 37-27 loss at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, Hubbard would be next in line for an expanded role if Sanders is inactive for Sunday.

And while Hubbard has never truly made the most of his previous opportunities for a feature role in the past, Sanders has enjoyed one of the highest usage rates at the running back position in the league.
The efficiency hasn’t really been there for Sanders or the rest of the Panthers’ rushing attack in 2023 but could be in store for a productive day against the Vikings, whom the Philadelphia Eagles steamrolled on the ground in Week 2.
Hubbard is certainly worth a speculative add this week. He is in consideration for one of the Flex spots if Sanders can’t go on Sunday but would still rank outside of my top 25 at the position in a Panthers offense that is still trying to find consistency.
