Mike Vrabel has been involved with the NFL since 1997 as a player and now a head coach.
The Tennessee Titans head coach has one long-standing union with the league. But off the field, he has another union that’s been on his side for a number of years — the one with his wife, Jen.
Who Is Jen Vrabel, Mike Vrabel’s Wife?
Jen Vrabel entered the picture for the future head coach when both were in college.
The Vrabels are former Ohio State Buckeyes and met on campus by taking one class together. That was also during a time when Vrabel was putting together his football resume as an OSU linebacker.
Jen Vrabel was also on campus as a student-athlete. She’s a former volleyball player, which made her a fall sports athlete along with her future husband in Columbus.
Vrabel eventually made his way to the NFL by being taken in the third round of the 1997 draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Two years later, the Vrabels became an official married couple. The couple additionally share two sons named Tyler and Carter.
Mike and Jen Vrabel will soon celebrate their 25th wedding once the calendar reads 2024.
What Does Jen Vrabel Do for a Living?
Vrabel, as many NFL fans know, is constantly traveling across the country for games and preparing the Titans for contests.
Jen Vrabel was once known for preparing to clean someone else’s teeth. She worked as a dental hygienist before Vrabel embarked on his New England Patriots career.
Now, Jen Vrabel is more involved as a mom and supportive wife. She and Vrabel have produced two collegiate-level sons.

Tyler Vrabel managed to make it to the NFL as an undrafted free agent offensive tackle out of Boston College. He appeared in his first professional game in Week 3 of the 2023 season.
Carter Vrabel, meanwhile, forged his own path through a different pair of cleats, baseball ones. He went on to Tennessee Tech University as an infielder. He also had two previous stops at Wabash Valley College and Volunteer State Community College.
Did the Vrabels Return to Ohio State?
When Mike Vrabel’s playing career ended in 2010, the Vrabels made a return to Columbus.
Vrabel went on to join the Ohio State coaching staff in 2011 by accepting the linebackers coach position. He then dove into the trenches for the next two seasons by coaching the Buckeyes’ defensive line.
Their stay at OSU was short lived. Vrabel dove back into the league by taking over the linebackers for the Houston Texans from 2014 to 2016. He later spent one season as the team’s defensive coordinator.
Now, Vrabel is 52-42 as a head coach with one AFC title game appearance with the Titans. And he’s navigating through his sixth head coaching season with Jen Vrabel on his side.
