In terms of receiving yards, Mike Evans is off to the best start of his 10-year career. But based off some of his player prop numbers, there’s a feeling out there that it may not last.

Evans Betting Trends and Stats
Evans’ 237 receiving yards so far this season are his most through the first two games of a season in his career.
Evans Best Bet
Evans turned 30 just last month, but he is playing like he is perhaps getting younger these days.
After having just two games last season in which he caught six or more passes and had a touchdown reception, Evans has done that in each of first two games already in 2023.

Evans is coming off a 171-yard performance against the Bears, which is the second-most he has had in a game since the start of 2021 (had 207 receiving yards against the Panthers in Week 17 last season).
Evans’ 237 receiving yards ranked fourth in the NFL entering Week 3. He is also averaging nearly 20 yards a reception (19.8). Last week, he had the second-longest reception of his career with a 70-yard catch.
So, is it me, or does his total receiving yards prop number — 53.5 — seem way too low?
There’s no doubt Evans will be the go-to guy for Baker Mayfield in this matchup. Evans already has been targeted a team-high 18 times in two games. And, if you’re among those that think Mayfield will go over his passing yards total — which I also believe — then it stands to reason that Evans will be getting the bulk of those yards through the air.
Until he proves otherwise, I’ll side with the “old man” for one more week.
Mike Evans Best Bet: Over 53.5 receiving yards (-120 at DraftKings)
