Zach Wilson does not receive much support, even from his locker room or the New York Jets fanbase. Oddly enough, the third-year signal-caller received support from an unlikely ally: Dallas Cowboys phenom Micah Parsons.
Parsons is articulate and speaks openly about other teams and players across the league on various platforms. He is a regular on NFL Draft coverage for Bleacher Report and also has his podcast “The Edge with Micah Parsons.
Parsons recently opened up about the third-year QB and discussed what the Jets organization can do to support him in a difficult situation.

What Did Micah Parsons Say About Zach Wilson?
Not many people publicly state that the Jets should stick with Wilson under center. The Jets locker room appears to be on the verge of a revolt as head coach Robert Saleh seems to be the only supportive voice for Wilson left in the organization.

There are even fewer voices of support from outside the organization, but Parsons did have a few kind words for the Jets QB: “This isn’t a walk-in-the-park job. There are only 32 starting jobs in the NFL for a reason. Quarterback is one of the hardest positions in the NFL, and you expect a third-year guy who got benched last year?”
Parsons doubled down and placed some ownership on the Jets organization, stating the Jets need to support Wilson rather than throwing him to the wolves. Parsons made a great point that the organization went all-in on Aaron Rodgers and designed the entire team around him, and now throwing Wilson in there is a bit of a disservice to the youngster.
What Do Jets Fans Have To Say About Wilson?
The Jets fanbase is understandably distraught and emotionally frustrated. New York is expected to compete for the AFC East title with a future Hall of Fame QB under center. Rodgers’ injury was one of the most devastating for a player and an organization in quite some time.

The Jets are no longer contenders for the AFC East as the Bills and Dolphins race out to a division lead, but New York’s hopes for a playoff bid have diminished with every passing week. Holding anyone up to Rodgers’ standard would be an exercise in futility, especially for a QB who has struggled throughout his NFL career.

Unfortunately, Wilson isn’t the answer for the Jets. The organization knows it. The fans know it. Wilson himself knows it. Wilson will fail to meet expectations no matter how much support the Jets place around him. While Parsons’ support and kind nature come from a good place, it is surely misguided.
