Micah Parsons’ Brother, Terrence, Takes Shot at Jerry Jones and Cowboys Organization

Micah Parsons has cemented himself as one of the NFL’s premier defenders. The Dallas Cowboys linebacker has been a force of nature since being drafted 12th overall in 2021, earning Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and becoming a two-time first-team All-Pro. Whether it’s chasing down quarterbacks or anchoring the Cowboys’ defense, Parsons has been nothing short of outstanding for Dallas.

But for all the accolades and highlight-reel plays, Parsons’ career has been intertwined with a franchise that often finds itself under scrutiny. The Cowboys have long struggled to translate talent into postseason success, and their 2024 campaign did little to change that narrative.

With turmoil brewing in Dallas all season, Parsons’ family has now entered the conversation — and not quietly.

Terrence Parsons Jr. Takes Shot at Dallas Cowboys

After the Chicago Bears announced the hiring of Ben Johnson as their new head coach, Micah’s brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., didn’t hold back on social media.

In a tweet that quickly went viral, Terrence wrote, “Sounds like a f***** head coach who knows exactly what he needs to do… and he knew Dallas was never the place he could do it at lol.”

The tweet highlights the frustration simmering both inside and outside the Cowboys’ locker room. It’s rare for a player’s family member to speak so candidly, but Terrence’s words reflect sentiments that some fans have expressed for years.

Dallas may not be the ideal environment for sustained success under Jerry Jones’ leadership.

    Dallas’ 2024 Struggles

The Cowboys’ 2024 season was nothing short of a disappointment. Injuries ravaged the roster, key players missed significant time, and off-field distractions piled up. The team also faced the literal glare of the sun in AT&T Stadium, an ongoing issue that affected visibility during some crucial plays in home games.

The season ended with a 7-10 record, marking the first time Dallas missed the playoffs since 2020. The poor showing has placed immense pressure on Jones to find a new head coach capable of reigniting the team’s championship aspirations.

Mike McCarthy’s tenure as head coach officially ended after five seasons, prompting a wave of speculation about his replacement. Among the names floated, one stands out: Deion Sanders.

According to sources, Sanders is “almost certainly” interested in the position if Jones extends an offer. Sanders, a Hall of Fame player and Cowboys legend, has built an impressive college football coaching résumé, highlighted by his work with his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are potentially looking to hire their current offensive coordinator, Brian Schottenheimer, to be the team’s next head coach — to which Terrence Parsons also had opinions about.

Parsons’ Johnson tweet could be dismissed as nothing more than an emotional outburst, but it may also signal deeper issues within the Cowboys’ organization. Jones’ decision on the next HC will shape the franchise’s trajectory for years to come.

With Sanders emerging as a potential candidate, Dallas fans are left wondering if Coach Prime could bring back the glory days or if the Cowboys’ struggles are destined to continue.

Is this just another case of someone speaking out of turn, or does Parsons’ comment highlight fractures within the Cowboys that could lead to significant roster changes? Only time will tell.
