    Published on

Micah Parsons' bold prediction about the Dallas Cowboys and their Super Bowl chances surprised many, especially after the year they just had.

Despite the Dallas Cowboys missing the playoffs again, Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons thinks his team has a bright future.

Parsons made a bold prediction that his team will make the Super Bowl next year: “Gonna be an amazing thing to see next year when we are holding the trophy.”

Micah Parsons Makes Bold Title Claim for 2025

Parsons was calling his shot for the Cowboys in 2025 after their 7-10 finish to the 2024 NFL season.

That’s an interesting statement considering the fact the Cowboys only won seven games this year but at times have shown promise in victories against the playoff-bound Washington Commanders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

They ended the season ranked 24th in PFN’s Wild Card Power Rankings, finishing 22nd in Offense+ and 26th in Defense+.

But if the Cowboys are to even make the playoffs, the front office has to step up and make the necessary changes, and it starts with Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones.

The Cowboys Need To Sign Free Agents

Jones managed to sign CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott to extensions during the 2024 NFL offseason; unfortunately, Jones decided not to sign any (or at least very few) free agents in the process.

The Cowboys had the opportunity to sign running backs Derrick Henry (who explicitly shared interest in a union) and Saquon Barkley this past off-season, but they signed with the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively, and both teams made the playoffs.

Instead, Jones decided to re-sign Ezekiel Elliott, which turned out to be a disaster for the team. Elliott only rushed for 226 and three touchdowns.

Parsons is trying to do his part in recruiting talent such as Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. After the Dolphins failed to make the playoffs, Hill told the press that he wanted out of Miami.

“This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, so for me, like I said, I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family,” Hill said on Sunday. “If that’s here, or wherever the case may be, I’m gonna on that door for myself. I’m opening the door.”

“I’m out, bro. So, you know. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I’ve got to do what’s best for my career. Because I’m too much of a competitor.”

Parsons saw what Hill said and decided to shoot his shot, so to speak, trying to talk Hill into coming to Dallas.

“We can be the fastest duo in the league!!! we also don’t have state income taxes!”

So far, Hill hasn’t responded to Parsons, but the Cowboys could use his help.

The Cowboys may be only one or two good free agent signings away from being back in the playoffs, alongside the return of a healthy Prescott; the question is, will Jerry Jones be willing this time to spend the money? That answer can only come from him, and maybe after this season, he’s willing to open his pocketbook.
