‘My Mom Wouldn’t Talk To Me’ – Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Reveals Why He Missed Practice

Tyreek Hill was not only back at Miami Dolphins practice Thursday, but he was back cracking jokes at his locker afterward.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill always delivers — for content creators. (He is pretty good on the football field, too.)

The league’s leading receiver was not only back at practice Thursday after missing the previous day with a hip injury, but he was feeling good.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Injury Update

Asked by local reporters about his health, Hill responded, per the Palm Beach Post:

“I just wanted some attention, man, because my mom wouldn’t talk to me yesterday, so I needed some attention from somebody. I’m good, though.”

Hill certainly got that attention.

His first missed game since 2020 would have impacted more than fans of the Dolphins and the New England Patriots (the Dolphins’ Week 8 opponent).

Fantasy managers were on the edge of their seats. He’s been one of the NFL’s most productive players in 2023, leading the league in receiving yards (902) and touchdowns (7) despite ranking outside of the top three in targets.

Hill, during the portion of practice open to reporters, looked spry, dancing during warmups. And nothing that happened during the 2+ hour session dampened his spirits.

Asked directly if he’s playing Sunday against a Patriots defense that has allowed just 210.6 passing yards per game and 6.3 yards per pass, Hill replied:

“Yeah, baby. I’m good, baby.”

Hill, in seven career games against the Patriots, has 41 catches for 590 yards and six touchdowns. New England did hold him to 40 yards on five receptions in Miami’s Week 2 win.

Hill was one of 11 Dolphins players whose participation in Thursday’s practice was limited.

The other 10?
