Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa took the blame for much of the Miami Dolphins‘ clunkiness on offense Sunday, saying he could have communicated better in the road environment against the Buffalo Bills.
But he’s not the only one who needs to learn from Miami’s four-touchdown Week 4 loss.
In fact, Tagovailoa suggested that some members of the team could benefit from a portion of humble pie after a 3-0 start that included a 70-point outburst the week before.

Straight Talk From Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa
Tagovailoa, who went 25 of 35 for 282 yards, a touchdown, and an interception Sunday, was asked postgame if there was any lingering effect from the week before when the Dolphins put up the second-most points in a regular-season game in NFL history.

His response:
“I would say, from my standpoint, I didn’t feel as if any of the guys in the locker room took it in a way of, ‘Oh yeah, like we, we won by this much. That’s how it’s gonna feel the next game, and the next game it’s gonna carry over.’ I didn’t feel like that was necessarily the deal.
“We did understand, and we did know that this was gonna be a tough opponent regardless. And so these guys aren’t gonna care what we did last week. You know, I don’t think any other team is gonna care what team they have next did prior. You know, guys are gonna come out, and guys are gonna play, and this is the league, and this is how it works.
“And it’s very good because I would say it’s also very humbling for a lot of people to have the highest high and then you, you lose in a manner like this. And, yeah, it’s very humbling, and it’s, you know, for some, it’s much needed.”
