The Miami Dolphins seem exceedingly likely to be without guards Robert Hunt and Robert Jones in their Week 11 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Who’s next up? We explore in our Thursday Miami Dolphins practice report and injury update.
Miami Dolphins Practice Report
Three Dolphins offensive players who missed Wednesday’s practice were back Thursday, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:
- WR Braxton Berrios (hamstring)
- FB Alec Ingold (foot)
- WR Durham Smythe (ankle)
Berrios playing would be a boon as much to special teams as offense (where he’s the Dolphins’ No. 3 receiver). He’s the team’s primary kickoff and punt-return specialist and has been a steady presence back there.
Berrios seems to be on track to play, particularly since the Dolphins cut Robbie Chosen late Thursday. Chosen had one catch — a 68-yard touchdown against the Broncos — in four games with the Dolphins.
But the news is not nearly as good on the offensive line, which is already without Isaiah Wynn for the foreseeable future.

Both Jones (knee) and Hunt (hamstring) seem unlikely to play Sunday, meaning it’ll be some combination of Lester Cotton and Liam Eichenberg at guard.
Dolphins offensive line coach Butch Barry praised Eichenberg in particular during his weekly news conference, saying that the reps Liam got at center earlier in the year makes him a better guard.
“I think both guys, first off, their approach to how they do things .. and how they handle it from the meeting room to the field, the independent film studies, is exactly what we want them to do,” Barry said Thursday.
“I think the versatility that they provide, it bodes well because of their approach.”

The other Dolphins’ offensive absence on Thursday? WR Chase Claypool (knee). Claypool’s role going forward is also in doubt with the return of River Cracraft from injured reserve.
