Miami Dolphins Practice Report and Injury Update: The Latest on Tyreek Hill, De’Von Achane, and Terron Armstead

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Miami Dolphins are running out of time.

With just three days until their Week 15 game against the New York Jets, five starters were too injured to practice Thursday, if the team held one.

Instead, they held two walkthroughs that were closed to reporters. Still, they had to release a simulated injury report — and it wasn’t pretty.

For the Dolphins’ offense, questions remain regarding basically their entire offensive line and their two most explosive players.

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill (ankle), running back De’Von Achane (toe), center Liam Eichenberg (calf), and guard Robert Hunt (hamstring) were all listed as “did not practice” on the team’s simulated injury report.

Tackle Terron Armstead (knee/ankle) and running back Raheem Mostert (knee) would have been limited had the Dolphins practiced. That’s an improvement over Wednesday when they were DNP.

“Yeah, if Reek isn’t available, I think Jaylen [Waddle] understands his role with stepping up,” Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said Thursday.

“I think everyone else understands their role as well. You know, it’s tough not having someone like Tyreek out there when sort of the entirety of the offseason was built around him and was built also around Jaylen.

“And then now you take away one of those pieces, guys can double Jaylen and leave, you know, other guys, one on one. It gives other guys opportunities that, you know, can really do something special for us.”

On defense, safety DeShon Elliott remains in the concussion protocol and unavailable to practice.

However, cornerback Xavien Howard (hip) would have worked in a limited capacity.
