How 2 New Washingtons Shake Up Miami Dolphins’ WR Depth Chart

The Dolphins bulked up their wide receiver depth chart in the NFL Draft, setting up what should be an entertaining training camp battle.

Pro Football Network’s Adam Beasley took a look at Miami’s projected depth chart.

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are both locks. Hill and Waddle together made up the NFL‘s most prolific receiving duo in 2023, with 2,813 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns between them.

Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, and Malik Washington are probably safe. Berrios would have been a lock had the Dolphins not used a sixth-round pick on Malik Washington on Saturday. Cracraft is probably the Dolphins’ best blocker and is high on head coach Mike McDaniel’s list of favorite players, and McDaniel expects Washington to be a solid competitor.

Erik Ezukanma and Tahj Washington will likely be on the practice squad. Ezukanma has just five catches for 22 yards in two NFL seasons.

Je’Quan Burton, Braylon Sanders, Anthony Schwartz, and Mathew Sexton are all long shots.

Why Stephen Ross Has Passed on Offers To Sell Miami Dolphins

A new report suggests that the Dolphins have become one of the most valuable franchises in pro sports, but that’s not enough for Stephen Ross to sell.

USA Today reported Wednesday that Ross declined a record-shattering offer to sell the Miami Dolphins, the surrounding property, and the Formula One race that returns to South Florida this weekend.

Assuming USA Today’s reporting — that Ross turned down a $10 billion offer to buy it all — is accurate, then his net worth far exceeds Forbes’ most recent estimate ($10.1 billion, a figure that includes his massive real estate empire).

The NFLPA last month named the Dolphins the NFL’s No. 1 franchise, and Ross the league’s No. 1 owner, based on player voting. He’s helped make the Dolphins a destination franchise. Ross wants the franchise to be the legacy he leaves to his family.
