Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots Inactives: Clarity With Jaelan Phillips, Terron Armstead

As the inactives show, the Miami Dolphins are far from at full strength Sunday night against the New England Patriots.

The Miami Dolphins will be without three of their 10 best players Sunday night against the New England Patriots.

Jalen Ramsey, of course, won’t play until Thanksgiving at the earliest. But as the Dolphins vs. Patriots inactive revealed, two coin-flip availabilities landed on the wrong side of the coin.

    Analysis

ESPN reported earlier Sunday that Armstead (ankle/back/knee) and Phillips (back) were game-time decisions. Apparently, neither player responded during pregame warmups in a manner sufficient for head coach Mike McDaniel to put them at risk.

So it’ll be on Bradley Chubb to pick up the slack on defense and Kendall Lamm to hold down the left end of the Dolphins’ offensive line. Chubb is mired in one of the worst stretches of his career, while Lamm more than held his own in Week 1.

And with the news that Campbell (knee) wouldn’t play either, it ensured that all three Dolphins players listed as questionable on the team’s Friday injury report are missing the game.

The Dolphins have two healthy scratches this week (not including third QB Thompson): Wilson and Hill. De’Von Achane will make his NFL debut Sunday night as the Dolphins activated all five backs on their roster.
