Much has been said about Tom Brady leading the search for the next head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders as the former quarterback already has a job in the booth with Fox, with some arguing about whether he should be allowed to do both or if it is a conflict of interest.
However, the Raiders’ locker room leader, defensive lineman Maxx Crosby, has come out and stated his thoughts on Brady’s role.
Maxx Crosby Puts Weight Being Tom Brady’s Search for Next Raiders HC
After Antonio Pierce was fired, Mark Davis announced that the minority stakeholder of the franchise would be part of the committee responsible for securing the next head coach.
As the public got to know more about Brady’s active involvement within the Raiders’ ecosystem, several people disagreed with it. During Crosby’s recent interview with Rich Eisen, he was asked to share his opinion on the matter.
“I’ve known Tom for a few years now,” Crosby said. “You know, we talk here and there, and like you said, he came in to win, and that’s what he’s done his whole life.”

“So, you know, he’s a Michigan man. I do know that as well, but I believe in Tom, and we’ll see what happens. So, I’m really excited to, you know, see what the future is.”
Crosby is confident that their Michigan camaraderie will come through and produce a winning unit in Las Vegas. While Brady attended four years of college in Michigan, Crosby was born there but moved to Texas during his early years before going back in college to play for Eastern Michigan.
Brady Highlights His Experience of Head Coach Recruitment
During the first quarter of the Divisional Round matchup between the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions, the seven-time Super Bowl champion was in the booth. He narrated his experience as part of the scouting group for the Raiders.
“It’s been a great learning experience,” Brady said. “The league is filled with great potential. The résumés and accolades are all earned by what people do on the field. You earn your opportunities and let your performance do the talking.”
Brady’s professional response to his responsibilities with the Raiders has subdued the conflict-of-interest arguments that have been rampant. However, neither he nor Davis has clarified how much say Brady will have in the final decision.
