Maxx Crosby just sparked a Hall of Fame buzz, and it’s got NFL fans fired up. After the Philadelphia Eagles’ six-time Pro Bowler Darius Slay completely wrecked the Green Bay Packers, Crosby couldn’t help but give props.
Watching that dominant performance, even rivals can’t deny the guy’s greatness.
Maxx Crosby Sparks Hall of Fame Buzz for Darius Slay After Standout Game
“Future HOF. @bigplay24slay” — Crosby posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). Slay, AKA “Big Play Slay” (the nickname says it all), has been cooking for years. At 34, Slay’s not slowing down, reminding everyone why his name deserves a gold jacket someday.

Slay’s résumé is stacked. Six Pro Bowls, a first-team All-Pro nod, 28 career interceptions, and that ridiculous 2017 season where he straight-up owned QBs with eight picks and 26 pass breakups.
Add a Super Bowl LVII run and captain’s patch in 2022, and you know, he’s built for Canton conversations.
Crosby’s endorsement carries weight. The Raiders’ defensive end has earned a reputation for recognizing talent. With 7.5 sacks and 45 tackles this season, Crosby himself was a game-changer.
But Slay’s legacy isn’t just stats and highlights. From his Big Play Slay Center in Georgia to being a leader on and off the field, his impact runs deep.
Crosby said it best: future Hall of Famer. Stamp it.
Darius Slay’s Exit and Epic Return Fuel Eagles’ Defensive Domination vs. Packers
Talk about a roller coaster. Slay had Eagles fans sweating when he left the Wild Card matchup against the Packers with an elbow injury. The team called it “questionable to return,” and just like that, Philly’s secondary looked shaky.
Isaiah Rodgers stepped in, but Slay wasn’t out for long. Right before halftime, he came sprinting out of the tunnel, ready to lock things down again. And the timing was perfect. Slay already had a pick in the game, proving why he’s a cornerstone of this defense.
Speaking of defense, Philly was on fire in the first half. Three forced turnovers (including a fumble on the opening kickoff) had the Packers scrambling. Jordan Love? Let’s just say his stat line wasn’t winning over any Green Bay fans.
But not everything was smooth. Losing linebacker Nakobe Dean to a knee injury stung. Slay’s return eased the pain, but if Philly wants to keep rolling, the offense needs to step up.
