Maxx Crosby is the heart and soul of the Las Vegas Raiders. But since pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson’s horrific injury in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys, speculation and rumors have swirled around the future of the three-time Pro Bowler.
Crosby is a force of nature on the defensive side of the field. The Raiders’ DE has been heavily linked with the Lions, and Detroit fans have been calling for Crosby’s homecoming.
Further, last week’s comments from Crosby only added fuel to the fire. The star pass rusher finally addressed the Lions trade rumors on Tuesday.
Maxx Crosby Responds to Lions Trade Speculation
On his eponymous podcast, “The Rush With Maxx Crosby,” the Raiders star spoke about the trade rumors and Lions fans flooding his phone. Crosby said while the similar trade talk last year was to a “lesser degree,” the Lions fans this time have “started a whole pandemonium, a revolution.”

Crosby iterated that he does not want to leave the Raiders but also understands that this is a business, and he’s not always in control.
“I’m sitting here, innocently, just doing what I do,” Crosby said about the rumors.
“I feel like I’ve got to address it with my teammates. I’m not trying to leave. I know it’s a business; I don’t have 100 percent control over all that. But I want to be here. I want to be silver and black. I’ll say it loud and clear, I want to be a Raider. I’ve said that over and over and over again.”
It’s not just the Lions fans that have flooded Crosby’s phone, however.
The Raiders’ defensive end spoke about requests from fans of the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons and how he was stunned by what the whole situation has turned into.
Crosby Explains His Cryptic Comments From Week 7
On his podcast, Crosby also addressed the cryptic comments he made in Week 7, which further ignited the trade rumors. The three-time Pro Bowler said that the comments were showcasing his competitive nature rather than his frustration with the Raiders.
“I was literally just saying, ‘All I’m trying to do is win. I don’t care where I’m at.’ I don’t give a f**k where I’m at. If I’m in a basketball game of pig, I’m trying to win that motherf****r. That’s how I am.”
Crosby added that he doesn’t want to further explain his stance because he’s made it very clear in the past. He also called out the media for spewing the “wildest sh*t” about him.
“You know where I’m at on Sundays,” Crosby said, closing his statement. “I’m out there f*****g hunting motherf****rs and dominating, and that’s what I plan on doing, and getting better every single week,” Crosby said.
“Yeah, there’s a bunch of f*****g noise. I even have family members, close friends, everybody, every DM blowing my sh*t up. ‘Come to Detroit.’ It’s turned into, like you said, a revolution.”
Crosby, who signed a four-year, $94 million extension in 2022, is under contract with the Raiders until 2027. The star pass rusher will likely cost at least a first-rounder for a team that trades for him.
Crosby wants to stay in Las Vegas, but this is a business. Teams could get extremely busy at the NFL trade deadline, and potential Super Bowl contenders won’t shy away from making big swings.
