Pro Football Network (PFN) and Matt Williamson have agreed to contract terms, effective immediately. Williamson, who was a scout for the Pittsburgh Panthers, Akron Zips, and Cleveland Browns, will cover the NFL on a national level and will contribute to both the NFL Draft and PFN Dynasty verticals.
“We are thrilled to add Matt to the PFN family,” said Matthew Cannata, PFN Founder and CEO. “His perspective as someone who worked in several football organizations will give our readers an inside look at all levels of the game. That kind of experience and knowledge will give us a boost in so many ways, and we can’t wait for him to get started.”
In addition to being a scout in college and NFL, Williamson worked as an analyst for ten years at ESPN. He is currently the co-host of “The Drive” on Steelers Nation Radio, the official radio network for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Williamson also is a co-host for the Locked On NFL Podcast and Dynasty Blueprint.
“I’m excited to join Pro Football Network and their team of talented writers,” said Williamson. “Watching their growth from afar and after talking to their ownership group, it is obvious they have a clear vision for their company. The energy is contagious and I’m going to do my part to add to that. Together, we’re going to continue to grow the PFN brand and make it a top destination for every football fan.”
In Pro Football Network’s NFL Draft vertical, Williamson will join the likes of Tony Pauline and Andrew DiCecco. On the national NFL level, he will work alongside Mike Tanier, and in the PFN Dynasty vertical, he will continue to help that department grow with his analysis and rankings. In addition to his contributions to PFN, Williamson will continue his work with the Steelers and the Locked On Podcast Network.
