    What Happened to Malik Nabers?

Early in the fourth quarter, Nabers was slow to get up after elevating for a catch and hitting the ground hard on the way down. He immediately reached for his head and was helped off the field by the training staff.

Nabers suffered a concussion earlier in the season and missed two games, so Giants fans and fantasy managers were worried when he went down. It was his first recorded concussion during his college or pro career.

Will Nabers Return to the Game?

Fortunately, Nabers was evaluated for a concussion and then returned to the game. He came back for one play before leaving again as the Giants used their big package on the goal line.

Daniel Jones scored a touchdown on that play, but then Nabers was back in the game on the next drive, taking a carry near the goal line on a 2nd-and-5 play.

Nabers ultimately finished the game with six catches for 50 yards.

The Giants have a Week 11 bye, so the rookie phenom will have plenty of time to recover before the team’s Week 12 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Nabers’ Value So Far in 2024

Entering Week 10, Nabers was ranked 28th by PFN’s WR+ metric, putting him inside the top third of all receivers who have qualified by receiving 15+ targets.

He has seen 32.3% of the targets when he’s been on the field this season and has just a 6.2% drop rate on the year.

Nabers’ 0.42 EPA per target ranks 42nd this year and very well sums up his season as being above-average but not exceptional.
