New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers had no comment in response to a question regarding Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ Giants-inspired cleats. Though Nabers and running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. did not get into detail about Sanders specifically, they both highlighted the qualities and features they were looking for in the Giants’ long-term QB.
The Giants will be selecting No. 3 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft after completing the campaign with a 3-14 record. After a season with poor quarterback play from Daniel Jones, Tommy Devito, and Drew Lock, the Giants will most likely be looking for QB help.
Malik Nabers and Tyrone Tracy Jr.’s Response About Shedeur Sanders
Both Nabers and Tracy were asked about what they were looking for in a franchise QB, with Nabers being asked point blank about Sanders coming to New York.
Nabers responded by outlining that he would watch college film if asked by the organization to give his input on who he would prefer, however, did not want to respond about Sanders specifically.

“No comment. Yeah, I’ll watch film for them if they call me up,” Nabers explained.
Meanwhile, Tracy expressed the qualities he wanted from his franchise QB.
“You gotta be a leader. But, again efficiency, ball security. Make sure you be smart with your ball. Also, just being a good quarterback,” he stated.
Will Sanders Be Drafted by the Giants?
Despite the need for a quarterback, there is a chance that Sanders is selected by the time the Giants are picking at No. 3 on draft night. In Pro Football Network’s latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Sanders was selected No. 1 overall by the Tennessee Titans.
“The Will Levis experiment has come to an end in Tennessee. Levis’ brand of football is nothing short of exciting; however, the Titans brass are looking for something with a little more upside and a lot less risk.
Furthermore, head coach Brian Callahan has made it clear that neither Levis nor journeyman Mason Rudolph is the long-term answer at QB.
Enter Shedeur Sanders. The son of ‘Prime Time’ Deion Sanders, Shedeur has all of the traits and pedigree to be an elite NFL quarterback.
Sanders has a live arm capable of layering throws with pinpoint accuracy and precision. His strong, balanced lower body allows him to fend off pressure and deliver accurate off-platform throws. Whether operating in rhythm or improvising off-schedule, Sanders excels. His pocket mobility and ability to extend plays with his legs, paired with his toughness and grit, make him an ideal fit to be the first player off the board on draft night.”
Though Sanders may have the skills and talent to positively change the QB situation in New York, there is a very real chance that he could be off the draft board by the time the Giants are picking this April.
