Bills WR Mack Hollins Shows Up to AFC Championship Game Wearing Wild Muppet-Themed Costume

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins is unique with his outfits, as he wore an Animal the Muppet mask before the AFC Championship Game.

Many NFL players take the time to dress up as they arrive for game day. If there’s one thing that Buffalo Bills wide receiver Mack Hollins is, it’s unique when it comes to his outfit choices. Every week he managed to one up what he did the former, regardless of the weather conditions. You have to look no further than his most recent get up during this past weekend of NFL playoff games.

Bills WR Mack Hollins Arrives to Arrowhead in…Style?

What was his AFC Championship attire? A Muppet mask, a matching crop top, and no shoes.

While the Animal the Muppet mask is iconic, it’s important to note that the temperature in Kansas City was around 30 degrees as the Bills traveled to take on the Chiefs for a trip to the Super Bowl. Hollins doesn’t ever seem to mind.

The 31-year-old vet isn’t afraid to dress how he wants.

Last week against Baltimore, despite almost freezing temperatures, Hollins arrived in a floral shirt, swimsuit, and a straw hat — not to mention, his lack of shoes.

That’s right. Not only has Hollins been sporting some wild pregame outfits all season for the Bills, but he also is never in shoes until game time. Despite sub-zero temperatures against the Ravens in the playoffs, Hollins still was without shoes. He’s narrowed his reasoning toward health and durability on the football field.

“Everybody should be barefoot. You don’t see people walking around in mittens. If you don’t use your fingers, you don’t have the dexterity to use them. Same thing with your feet and your toes and your ankles … It’s definitely helped me with my take-offs, my get-offs because I feel like I can grip the ground better,” said Hollins in an interview.

Hollins’ choice of wearing no shoes dates back to before his first season with the Bills. His NFL career has seen him on the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, and last year with the Atlanta Falcons. This year, the veteran wide receiver has 31 receptions for 378 yards. He also has five touchdowns this season, the most in a single season in his entire career.

That success as one of Josh Allen’s weapons may or may not be related to his choice of choosing to not wear footwear. Perhaps it was his outfits before games. They certainly make Hollins stand out, as he’s spent this whole season serving up looks and helping the Bills to the AFC Championship Game.
