Los Angeles Rams 7-Round 2024 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 22: Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU
The Rams haven’t fixed the left tackle spot since Andrew Whitworth’s retirement and don’t have the solution on their current roster. They have to find a way to get a franchise left tackle, no matter what, this offseason.
Suamataia is a freak athlete at 6’6″, 325 pounds. Meanwhile, the BYU behemoth has some high-level tape as a run-blocker and in-pass protection. He also offers an element of positional versatility after switching from right to left tackle this season.
Round 2, Pick 53: T.J. Tampa, CB, Iowa State
The cornerback room has been an issue for the Rams all season. They landed a pleasant surprise in Ahkello Witherspoon but have yet to get much out of the rest of that unit.
T.J. Tampa is an excellent zone corner with great instincts and ball skills, something the Rams desperately need with the receivers they will have to play in their division.
Round 3, Pick 87: Jaden Hicks, S, Washington State
Much like their cornerbacks, the Rams simply haven’t had enough plays from their safety group this season. To make matters worse, Jordan Fuller and John Johnson II are set to hit free agency.
Jaden Hicks can be a key cog in the Rams’ turnaround for their secondary. He has great range and ball skills to be a centerfielder type — something the Rams simply do not have.
Round 5, Pick 149: Javon Solomon, EDGE, Troy
Byron Young and Michael Hoecht are the two top pass rushers for the Los Angeles Rams, and they are the only edge players on the team with over 100 snaps this season. The Rams must continue adding to this spot to avoid getting bounced early from the playoffs again.
Javon Solomon is a quick, bendy pass rusher. While undersized, Solomon can be a disruptive pass rusher for the Rams on passing downs.
Round 5, Pick 150: Johnny Wilson, WR, Florida State
Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are tremendous, but the Rams should shore up the depth behind them. TuTu Atwell needs to be a more consistent player and isn’t a full-time receiver, and Demarcus Robinson is set to be a free agent.

A huge figure at 6’7, 237 pounds, Wilson resembles more of a tight end than a wide receiver, but the Rams could use someone with his size as a reliable chain mover and red zone threat. There are some similarities to Josh Reynolds, who the Rams relied upon for years when he was with the team.
Round 6, Pick 173: Ja’Quan Sheppard, CB, Maryland
Double-dipping at cornerback has to happen if you are the Rams, even if they bring back Ahkello Witherspoon. Derion Kendrick was picked on often and didn’t hold up to the test, resulting in a reduction in his role in two straight seasons. The Rams didn’t address it enough last offseason but do so here.
The 6’2″ Ja’quan Sheppard thrives in man coverage and demonstrated excellent ball skills throughout his career at Maryland and Cincinnati. Sheppard was tied for first in the Big Ten in pass breakups. He can help shore up the Rams’ depth in the secondary while giving them another playmaker.
