This 2025 NFL Mock Draft carries forward the momentum that the Los Angeles Chargers first generated in the 2024 NFL Draft cycle, when they added standouts such as Joe Alt, Ladd McConkey, and Junior Colson.
Things are looking up already under Jim Harbaugh. There’s a sense that the trenches and the ground game will be emphasized more, taking pressure off of Justin Herbert while also allowing the franchise quarterback to play at his best.
From a roster standpoint, the Chargers still have plenty of work to do — both with their overall depth and their top-end talent. That said, the 2025 NFL Draft will give them an opportunity to close the gap — particularly on defense, where there’s more to accomplish.
Who Could the Los Angeles Chargers Draft in 2025?
1.16) Los Angeles Chargers: Jordan Hancock, CB, Ohio State
The Chargers’ entire cornerback room is on shaky ground long-term. Kristian Fulton and Asante Samuel Jr. are both free agents in 2025, and Ja’Sir Taylor will be a free agent a year later. Any addition would be an improvement, but Jordan Hancock can be a true glue piece.
At 6’1″, 195 pounds, Hancock is an explosive, energized athlete who matches that energy in his movement with relentless physicality in all phases. As a versatile, dynamic nickel defender, he can play a variety of coverages, blitz, pass off WRs, and make plays on the ball.
Even after adding Hancock, the Chargers will still need more long-term security on the boundary. But as AFC West fellows like Kansas City and Las Vegas have shown, a dynamic nickel defender can do wonders for a defense. Hancock profiles as such for the Chargers.
2.48) Los Angeles Chargers: Harold Perkins Jr., LB, LSU
Harold Perkins Jr., meet Jesse Minter. Jesse Minter, meet your new X-factor.
In L.A.’s scheme, Perkins could be unleashed as the true multi-phase terror he is — playing as an attacking defender on early downs, and terrorizing tackles with his speed and bend later on.
With Perkins, Derwin James, Joey Bosa, and Hancock, it truly feels as though Minter is acquiring all of the infinity stones. With a little more interior talent, the Chargers’ defense could be on its way back.
3.80) Los Angeles Chargers: Dontay Corleone, DT, Cincinnati
A blood clot scare this summer mired Dontay Corleone’s stock in uncertainty. But now that he’s back with the team, he’s one of the best, most disruptive nose tackles in the class.

Aesthetically, a 6’1″, 320-pound nose tackle nicknamed “The Godfather” just seems like a Jim Harbaugh pick by default — but Corleone’s dual-sided ability to drive power as a pass-rusher and encumber double teams in the run game would be invaluable for LA.
