History of Baltimore Ravens First-Round NFL Draft Picks All Time

As soon as the Baltimore Ravens joined the league in 1996, they made an impression with their first-round NFL Draft picks. In the franchise’s short lifespan, the Ravens have been one of the NFL’s most formidable units, and it all starts with their success at the top of the board. Here’s a look at Baltimore’s full history in Round 1 of the NFL Draft.

Baltimore Ravens First-Round Draft Picks Throughout History

The Ravens have only been around since 1996, and already, they have more Hall of Fame first-round picks than some teams who’ve been around since the mid-1960s. In fact, the Ravens kicked off their existence with two Hall of Fame selections in Jonathan Ogden and Ray Lewis. Then, in 2002, they picked their third Hall of Famer — Ed Reed.

Of Baltimore’s recent first-round picks, quarterback Lamar Jackson is the closest to a Hall of Fame trajectory. It’s still early, but he already has two Pro Bowl berths, an All-Pro selection, and an MVP award at 26 years old. A Super Bowl ring could catalyze an even greater rise.
