As the NFC Championship approaches, one Philadelphia Eagles legend is throwing some serious shade Jayden Daniels’ way. With the Washington Commanders set to clash with the Eagles, the pressure’s on for the rookie quarterback, and one former star isn’t sugar-coating stuff.
The stakes are through the roof. The atmosphere’s intense. And as the game draws closer, it seems like only divine intervention can save Daniels and the Commanders from a potentially brutal defeat.
LeSean McCoy Predicts Commanders Need Divine Intervention for NFC Championship Win
On FS1’s “The Facility,” LeSean “Shady” McCoy got real about how he sees this game playing out, and it’s not looking good for Daniels and his squad.
McCoy joked that Washington should swap its pre-game playlists for a full-on church vibe. He suggested, “No gangster music, all-church music,” while taking it a step further by jokingly offering a Bible to every Commanders coach and player.
McCoy’s reasoning: “I’ll put the Bible in everybody’s locker. I’m talking about the coaches, head coaches, little Bibles in it, right? And after every play in the huddle, we going to say ‘Amen.
“Everything is ‘Amen, everything, and that’s how you got a chance… you got to give God the glory because if you don’t, this could get real ugly. God bless all you Commanders out there, and God bless Washington, see you on Sunday.”

This emphasized that divine intervention might be Washington’s only chance to avoid what he believes could be a “real ugly” outcome.
McCoy wasn’t just being playful. The underlying message was clear — facing off against the Eagles will be no easy feat for the rookie QB, especially with the mighty Philly defense bearing down.
McCoy’s comments had a humorous edge, but it’s clear the Eagles’ confidence heading into this matchup is sky-high. The Commanders have had a strong playoff run, but they have some work to do. But with McCoy’s fiery words, Sunday’s showdown just got a whole lot more interesting. Let’s see if Daniels and the Commanders can prove the Eagles legend wrong.
Tom Brady Sides With Eagles
Tom Brady’s prediction is in, and like with McCoy, it’s looking rough for the Commanders. The NFL legend, chatting with his former head coach Bill Belichick, made it known that the Eagles are his pick for the NFC Championship showdown.
“The difference in this game with the Lions and the Commanders and the Commanders and the Eagles is the Eagles got a really great defense,” Brady said.
“They got a D line that can make an impact. They can stop the run without having to shove extra bodies up there. We’ll see how the injuries in the Eagles’ secondary, if [Quinyon] Mitchell can play, how that affects them. Certainly, the Eagles are the favorite for a reason. They’ve had an incredible season. If the Eagles play well, I think they’re moving on.”
Daniels led Washington to a thrilling victory over Philly in Week 16, but Brady isn’t buying into the Cinderella story just yet. For him, the Eagles’ top-tier defense is too much to overcome.
So, will Daniels and the Commanders prove Brady wrong, or will Philly’s defense shut down their Super Bowl hopes? The stage is set, but Brady’s pick is in — Eagles all the way.
