The biggest cut candidate is quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who was suspended in February for violating the NFL’s policy on PEDs.
Russell Wilson Potentially Visiting With Raiders
With Russell Wilson being released on the first day of the new league year, the Broncos allowed him to go ahead and meet with new teams before the league year began. First, he visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, he’s potentially heading to Vegas.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Raiders are another team that could possibly set up a meeting with Wilson. It was also

While Garoppolo is a cut candidate, Brian Hoyer was cut first, according to Schefter. The move, which will likely be followed by Garoppolo, creates $2.6 million in dead cap for the Raiders. Hoyer spent one season with the Raiders, playing in three games, starting just one of them. He passed for 231 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. He was benched in favor of O’Connell, and he never got the job back.
Expected to Release Jerry Tillery
The second major release the Raiders are expected to partake in is with defensive tackle Jerry Tillery, according to Schefter. The move will be official when the new league year begins.

Re-Signing Andre James
