In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders take the next — and perhaps the most important — step in maintaining their place in the AFC arms race.
The Raiders, as a franchise, have been one of the least consistent organizations in the NFL over the past decade-plus. The Josh McDaniels saga was another unfortunate reminder of that, but the roster appears to be reinvigorated under new head coach Antonio Pierce.
Nevertheless, the Raiders must keep stacking wins. The moral victory of Pierce remaining the coach after his interim stint means nothing if it doesn’t translate to success on the field. And with each new young QB joining the fray in the AFC, the margin for error grows slimmer.
The solution for Las Vegas is to not only keep strengthening their roster but also find a franchise signal-caller of their own, potentially through the NFL Draft.
Who Could the Las Vegas Raiders Draft in 2025?
1.1) Las Vegas Raiders: Carson Beck, QB, Georgia
Trade: Raiders receive No. 1 overall pick; Panthers receive No. 8 overall pick, No. 40 overall pick, 2026 first-round pick, 2026 third-round pick.
Our first seven-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft of the cycle kicks off with a massive trade that lifts the Las Vegas Raiders to the top overall spot.
There were rumors that Mark Davis wanted to be aggressive in 2024. One year later, he gets his guy in Georgia’s Carson Beck.
Las Vegas’ roster is almost ready to insert the rookie. The weapons core is strong, the lines are improving, and Antonio Pierce has promise as head coach. Beck could be the final piece as a pocket passer with stellar arm talent, anticipation, poise, and accuracy.
Heading into the 2025 NFL Draft cycle, Beck is my QB1, and it isn’t close. He would have graded in a similar range to J.J. McCarthy in the 2024 NFL Draft cycle, and he has an entire season left to keep refining his game.

With Beck’s ability as a passer who can elevate within the pocket, the Raiders’ aerial attack would be formidable from his very first snap. And that could be a game-changer in the stacked AFC.
3.72) Las Vegas Raiders: Jabbar Muhammad, CB, Washington
Pierce isn’t afraid to take a chance on undersized competitors at CB. That’s Jabbar Muhammad to a tee: Undersized, but ruthlessly competitive.
The Raiders need at least one of their recent CB investments to pan out. Nate Hobbs is a quality nickel defender, and Jack Jones played well after his trade from New England in 2023. But Decamerion Richardson is an unknown, and the other boundary could be exposed.
Muhammad will be an older rookie in addition to his lacking size. But he’s a stick cover man whose competitiveness could bode very well.
