Is Lamar Jackson Playing in Week 10?

Jackson didn’t participate in Tuesday’s practice due to a knee injury but was a full participant on Wednesday. He is ready to go on Thursday night.

In Week 9, Jackson sat out practices Wednesday and Thursday with knee and back injuries, but he put in a full practice Friday and didn’t carry a designation into Sunday’s 41-10 win over the Broncos. Even though he was removed early amid the blowout and finished with his fewest carries of the season (three) while throwing just 19 passes, Jackson is apparently still bothered by the knee issue coming off the light workload.

Should You Start or Sit Lamar Jackson in Week 10?

Against the vaunted Denver Broncos defense last week, Lamar Jackson completed 11 of 12 passes for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the first half alone, eliminating any doubt as to the outcome of the game or the ability of anyone in this league to slow him down.

Back in Week 5, he was fantasy’s QB3 against these Bengals with 348 yards and four touchdowns through the air with another 55 on the ground. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t seen much from Cincinnati’s defense in the month since that masterpiece to suggest they are in a position to slow down the quest for consecutive MVPs. Could Jackson essentially decide your matchup before the weekend?

For the season, he has seven finishes as the QB6 or better, offering you an elite floor to complement a ceiling that is as high as any in the sport. He’s cleared 22 fantasy points in four straight prime-time games and has at least 39 rushing yards in all 23 career games under the bright light. You can poke a hole in most quarterback résumés, but Jackson isn’t “most” quarterbacks.

Lamar Jackson’s Fantasy Points Projection in Week 10

As of Thursday, Jackson is projected to score 23.5 fantasy points in Week 10. This includes 241.2 passing yards, 1.6 passing touchdowns, and 0.6 interceptions. It also includes 10.7 rushing attempts for 65.1 yards and 0.3 touchdowns.

PFN Insight on the Bengals’ Defense

The Cincinnati Bengals continue to be an above-average defense against bad offenses and then a bad defense against good offenses. That combination has meant that they have fallen to 4-5 this season and have yet to beat a team with more than two wins to their name in 2024.

Their inability to stop the run will make things difficult in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens, while their struggles to get pressures and sacks without sending extra men will also make it hard to stem the Ravens’ passing game. Compounding all that is that they rank 26th on third down and 27th in the red zone, which has resulted in them allowing 2.25 points per drive (25th).
