Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is a maniac on the field, but football is not the only sport he excels at. The former Oklahoma star is also great at an e-sport called Call of Duty.
So much so, a gaming company partnered with Murray for a lucrative deal with the brand announced through their X (previously known as Twitter) account.
Kyler Murray: Call of Duty Legend
While it worked for the best for Murray as he got to be a part of both his interests, many analysts and fans noticed a decline in his performance every time the gaming company released a new version, calling it a distraction for the Cardinals quarterback.
Additionally, while the Cardinals offered Murray a five-year, $230M contract in 2022, the franchise put an important clause in his offer stating that he would have to study film for at least four hours during game weeks.
The Cardinals later removed this clause and said, “After seeing the distraction it created, we removed the addendum from the contract. It was clearly perceived in ways that were never intended. Our confidence in Kyler Murray is as high as it’s ever been and nothing demonstrates our belief in his ability to lead this team more than the commitment reflected in his contract.”
However, Murray has once again proven his abilities as he’s led the Cardinals to three straight wins, the last one being a massive 31-6 blowout win against the Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets.
It’s safe to say fans are thrilled to see their quarterback continue showing off his skills even with Call of Duty’s new release:
“dat boy tryna to get home to get back to the grind…. respeck,” a fan said.

“Winning games means less focus on practice and more time for gaming,” another fan joked.
“Call of Duty finally releases a good game and Kyler cooks again? Am I seeing a correlation?” another fan added.
“SHOUT OUT TO THE HATERS BRO GOT A BAG AND IS BALLINNNNN,” another fan added.
“He hates the maps just like the rest of us,” another fan pointed out.
“WE FINALLY BEAT THE ALLEGATIONS,” another fan sighed in relief.
