‘It Was a Really Tough Watch’ – Former Super Bowl MVP Gives Chiefs Bitter Pill To Swallow After Super Bowl Crashout

The Kansas City Chiefs are under fire. Initially, it was from the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense in the Caesars Superdome during Super Bowl 59. Since then, it’s all over the internet.

Patrick Mahomes and Co. were unable to materialize their three-peat dream and had one of their worst games, losing by 18 points. In response, former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner shared his dissatisfaction.

Kurt Warner Calls Out Chiefs for Lackluster Performance Against Eagles

Kansas City’s offense was continuously backpedaling throughout the game. Mahomes and his offensive line crumbled against the pressure from the Eagles’ defense. He connected with 21 of his 32 throws for 257 yards and three touchdowns (mostly in garbage time), and he was intercepted twice.

Warner, a former Super Bowl winner in his own right, took to X and broke down the faults within the Chiefs’ game.

“Just finished rewatching the Chiefs O & it was a really tough watch! They were obviously outplayed but was not a fan of details and spacing all not & PM2 was not on top of his game!

“Credit to Eagles D for sure, but they made it really hard on themselves! Study Ball to come,” he tweeted.

The Chiefs had displayed a weak OL throughout the season, but they managed to win games. That could not happen, however, against one of the most ferocious defenses in the NFL.

Kansas City’s front office has recognized the issue and is rumored to look to solve it in the offseason.

Nevertheless, Warner wasn’t the only one who was hard on the Chiefs’ for their awful performance.

Barstool Sports president David Portnoy is a loud and proud New England Patriots fan. He reveled in the fact that the Chiefs failed to achieve one thing that the Patriots also couldn’t: win the Super Bowl three times in a row.

“Emergency press conference, still third quarter, but the Chiefs have embarrassed themselves on a national scale,” Portnoy, said in a video he posted on his social media. “Absolutely demolished by the Eagles. Patrick Mahomes looks like a JV quarterback.

“The Chiefs would never ever beat the Patriots dynasty, not in a million years. Patrick Mahomes is not Tom Brady. Tom Brady has never puked on himself how Patrick Mahomes just did.

“And I know Patrick Mahomes don’t like Barstool, big deal, but that’s not why. He was awful. Couldn’t rise up, horrible throws. No protection, fine. Brady would have found a way,” he added.
