As we inch toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of wide receiver K.J. Osborn.
K.J. Osborn’s Dynasty Outlook and Value
Osborn is an interesting name in the dynasty world because of his uncertain value. As an old fifth-round rookie in 2020, Osborn was never supposed to be anything more than roster depth. Sadly, that still may be all he ends up being.
Osborn has certainly flashed at times. In 2021, he posted seven games of at least 14 fantasy points. This past season, he had five. More notably, though, was Osborn’s trajectory in the 2022 season.
As it became more and more evident that Adam Thielen didn’t have it anymore, Osborn’s role increased. Of his five double-digit fantasy-point performances, four came in the final five weeks of the season. One of those was a monster 10-catch, 157-yard, one-touchdown explosion in the epic comeback against the Colts.
K.J. Osborn’s Fantasy Ranking
Osborn has shown enough to prove he belongs in the NFL and is worth being a team’s WR3, at worst. There are questions about his future, though.
Osborn is in the final year of his rookie deal. He will obviously spend 2023 with the Minnesota Vikings, but Osborn is the type of player who could end up literally anywhere for his second contract. He’ll be 27 years old ahead of the 2024 season. That’s far from old, but it’s older than most wide receivers are when they receive their second contract.
Given his unlikely path to relevance, Osborn can and should chase the money. We’ve seen plenty of middling wide receivers be given excessive contracts. If Osborn gets one, good for him.

For dynasty managers, consider Osborn roster depth. With Thielen gone, there’s a chance he has weekly WR3/4 value in 2023, but I would be surprised if he was ever more than that, regardless of where he ends up.
We currently have Osborn at WR70 (No. 168 overall) in our dynasty Superflex rankings. He’s certainly not someone with a particularly high ceiling, but you can do worse than that late in dynasty startup drafts.
