Kingsley Suamataia is an offensive tackle prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft.
After a successful career with Oregon and BYU, Suamataia declared for the NFL Draft after his redshirt sophomore season at BYU.
How Tall Is Kingsley Suamataia?
At the Senior Bowl, Suamataia measured in at 6’4 3/8″.
While this is a good size for an NFL offensive lineman, it is noteworthy that his official measurement is actually two inches shorter than what BYU’s official roster listed him at.
How Much Does Suamataia Weigh?
Suamataia weighed in at 329 pounds in Mobile, Ala., for the Senior Bowl.
Again, this is a good size for an NFL lineman; however, Suamataia’s hand size is the measurement that jumped off of the page. Suamataia’s massive 10 3/8″ hand size is the same as Detroit Lions star tackle Penei Sewell, who just happens to be Suamataia’s cousin.
How Old Is Suamataia?
Suamataia was one of the few underclassmen to receive an invite to the Senior Bowl after new rules allowed them to join, participating after his redshirt sophomore season.
Born on Jan. 18, 2003, he’s just 21 years old and will not turn 22 until the end of his rookie year.
What School Did Suamataia Go To?
Suamataia redshirted in 2021 for first season with Oregon. After the 2021 season, he announced that he would enter the transfer portal. He eventually transferred to Bringham Young, where he started two seasons on the offensive line.
Revisiting Suamataia’s College Career
Attending Orem High School in Orem, Utah, Suamataia was a five-star recruit who received college offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Utah, and USC. He ultimately committed to Oregon.
As a redshirt freshman with the Oregon Ducks, Suamataia played in just one game.

However, upon transferring to BYU, his career blossomed, starting 12 games in 2022 for the Cougars. In 2022, he did not allow a single sack all season and was given Freshman All-American recognition from several outlets.
In the 2023 season, he played 10 games before declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Suamataia’s Potential in the NFL
After playing in just 27 high school games and 22 college games, Suamataia’s build-up and athletic promise have him as one of the top offensive linemen in this draft.
According to Pro Football Network draft analyst Ian Cummings, Suamataia grades out as a top-50 prospect in the 2024 draft.
“At just 21 years old, Suamataia already has left-right versatility, two years of experience, and an elite physical foundation to build on,” Cummings said. “At 6’6″ and 325 pounds, Suamataia looms over the competition, and his combination of elite explosiveness, mass, and high-end length grants him quantifiably elite power capacity. He can use that power to drive open lanes in the run game and shock rushers with violent punches in pass protection.
“Relative to most other offensive tackle prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft, Suamataia’s game has more variance than his counterparts. The high-end plays are awe-inspiring, but at the same time, he still has work to do with his leverage and pad-level maintenance, awareness, and overall operational consistency.”
