Veteran receiver CeeDee Lamb had a historic night as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the New York Giants on Sunday.
CeeDee Lamb’s Historic Showing
Lamb had 151 yards in 11 receptions and two touchdowns, one of which was his first rushing score of the season.
However, with his 11th reception, he set an NFL record for having his third consecutive game with 10+ catches and 150+ receiving yards.
When the starters sat in the fourth quarter because of the lead and the opportunity to get some rest, the receiver stayed in the game for two more possessions.
He admitted that he knew about the record and that Cooper Rush wasn’t putting the ball anywhere else but in his hands.
This was also Lamb’s fourth consecutive 100-yard receiving game, and the last player to accomplish that for the Cowboys was Terrell Owens in 2007.
CeeDee Lamb just became the FIRST receiver in NFL HISTORY to catch at least 10 passes for at least 150 yards for 3 games in a row. 😤

How the Tides Turned for Lamb
In Week 5, after the team lost to the 49ers, Lamb was vocal about wanting the ball more. But now, he is reaping the benefits of the conversations from that loss.

According to NFL Network, in the last four games, Lamb has totaled 617 receiving yards, which is more than Amon-Ra St. Brown (490), A.J. Brown (464), and Tyreek Hill (425).
As for how the receiver feels like he’s playing right now, he said, “It’s all part of the process, trusting the process and believing in myself and my abilities and my teammates. Going in, play the game that we can play.”
Dak Prescott and Lamb’s Chemistry
But he knows he isn’t acting alone in this, as Dak Prescott continues to play at an elite level.
Plus, the two continue to showcase how strong their chemistry actually is.
Prescott had 404 passing yards on 26 completions, his third career game with over 400 yards and four passing scores, creating a new Cowboys franchise record.
Lamb said Prescott is zoned in and can’t wait to see what else the quarterback can do in the weeks ahead.
Prescott was asked about Lamb, saying he’s a special player, adding, “I know the work that he puts into this. You’re not going to be able to cover him 1-on-1. I don’t know who you are, or who you have, or who you think you have on the other side. You’re just not going to be able to cover him.”
The quarterback said the Cowboys offense is striving to be its best, and the production from his receivers contributes to taking steps toward that.
