Keon Coleman Reveals the NFL Quarterbacks He Wants To Catch Touchdowns From

Keon Coleman has a list of prolific NFL quarterbacks he hopes to catch touchdowns from, including two former MVPs.

Keon Coleman has positioned himself to make a future NFL quarterback ecstatic about having his receiving skills to turn to in 2024. But which passers does the Florida State standout envision himself catching touchdowns from?

The 6’4″, 215-pound wideout and projected first-rounder out of Florida State named off five different quarterbacks during his round of interviews.

But he rolled off four names in his 1-on-1 interview with NBC Sports at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Saturday. Who were the four Coleman shared?

With no hesitation, the Seminoles star named three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Of course. Greatest in the game right now,” Coleman said.

The Chiefs just may be in a position to nab Coleman. PFN’s Saturday mock draft projects he’ll fall to No. 32 to the champs.

But then he mentioned his next QB: “Josh Allen, for sure. He can throw the ball.”

Allen’s team, the Buffalo Bills, has to wait until No. 28 to grab Coleman. After Allen, Coleman took a brief pause before naming the next passer on his wish list.

C.J. Stroud,” Coleman revealed next. “Watching him, and we were playing against him when he was at Ohio State, and I’m like … he’s hard to defend when the ball is exactly where it needs to be.”

Coleman is referencing his time at Michigan State, Stroud’s Big 10 rival before being taken No. 2 to the Houston Texans in last year’s draft. Coleman played for the Spartans in 2021 and 2022 during Stroud’s tail end of his Buckeye years.

Finally, Coleman added one more name to his wish list of NFL QBs he hopes to catch footballs from: Dak Prescott.

“I like Dak’s game,” Coleman said.

Even despite the criticism Prescott has received for underwhelming in the postseason with the Dallas Cowboys, Coleman believes the hate shouldn’t be that high for him.

“A lot goes into winning games, especially playoff games. You know, a mistake or two there, yeah it can cost you the game. But you can’t solely put that on him. So I don’t really get it,” Coleman said.

Coleman, though, named one other prolific passer during a session with multiple reporters — which he described as a “dream” pairing if he were to go there.

Coleman mentioned he sat down and had a “great” meeting with the Baltimore Ravens in Indy.

In all likelihood, the topic of Coleman possibly catching from reigning MVP Lamar Jackson surfaced in their conversation.

Sure enough, Coleman was asked about his thoughts on potentially giving the two-time NFL MVP a towering target to throw to.

“I would be grateful for that,” Coleman began.

But then he mapped out what his “dream” would look like if he were to become a Raven.

“If they bring Odell [Beckham] back, that would be better to play with him, Lamar, Zay Flowers, and Rashod Bateman — that would be a dream,” Coleman said.

Baltimore is considered a WR-needy team ahead of the upcoming draft. Coleman not only checks in as a potential top-15 prospect by PFN, but he’s the No. 4 WR in a stacked group.
