Florida State WR Keon Coleman’s status unexpectedly changed ahead of the Seminoles’ Week 10 contest against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Is he playing today, or is he out? Here’s the latest on the 2024 NFL Draft prospect’s current status.
Is Keon Coleman Playing in Week 10?
Keon Coleman is out for Florida State’s Week 10 contest against the Pittsburgh Panthers.
The news comes as a surprise, as Coleman was not included in the injury report throughout the week.

The injury that Coleman is dealing with was left undisclosed, but Coleman was not dressed for warmups and was later confirmed to be out.
In Week 9, Coleman caught seven passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He did not leave that game with an injury.
Now, the Seminoles will take on Pittsburgh without their two top wide receivers. Johnny Wilson was also ruled out ahead of the contest with an injury that he suffered against the Duke Blue Devils several weeks ago.
Coleman a Round 1 Talent in the 2024 NFL Draft
The loss of Coleman is a big blow for Florida State’s offense. Jordan Travis has proven himself to be a playmaker regardless of the talent that’s around him, but Coleman has been a centralizing force on the boundary for the Seminoles in 2023.
Through eight games, Coleman has amassed 38 catches for 358 yards and nine touchdowns. He’s distinguished himself as a truly elite contested-catch weapon and red-zone threat, but he’s also a capable separator and a physical, explosive RAC player.
As long as medicals check out for Coleman, he’s widely viewed as an early-to-mid Round 1 prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft and one of the top contenders for the WR2 spot behind Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr.
Others in contention for the WR2 spot include LSU’s Malik Nabers and Washington’s Rome Odunze, but Coleman is arguably the most physically imposing receiver of the bunch.
