Nothing scares a fantasy football manager more than the words “significant injury,” especially when referring to a running back. What is the latest news regarding Kenneth Walker III, Aaron Jones, and D’Onta Foreman?
RB Injury Updates Week 12
Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks
Walker suffered an oblique strain in Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. A man of many words, head coach Pete Carroll said the injury was “legit.” The exact status of the injury is unclear, but the Seattle Seahawks have a short week this week, taking on the San Francisco 49ers on Thanksgiving. Walker finished Sunday with 18 yards rushing.
When Walker went out, it became the Zach Charbonnet show, and if Walker misses time, this is what we can expect to see moving forward. Charbonnet finished the week as RB20 with 69 all-purpose yards, touching the ball 21 times in Walker’s absence. Fantasy managers could also see more usage of DeeJay Dallas, but in a matchup against San Francisco, it is scary to start any RB.
On Monday, Carroll was asked if Walker was a candidate to go on IR. He responded, “Not at this point, no. We need to learn more.”
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers managed to pull out a win on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers but may have lost Jones in the process. Just before halftime, Jones went down to a knee injury on a short run. Jones was carted off immediately, and with a towel over his face, fantasy managers assumed the worst.

Jones seemed to have dodged a bullet, and head coach Matt LaFleur said after the game he did not think the injury would be long-term. Jones was concerned it was his ACL.
“If it was my ACL, then I’m done for the season,” he said. “I put in a lot of work and time in here with these guys; it felt like, ‘man, I can’t catch a break,’ but I caught a break. I hope it’s not anything serious, and I’ll be back here.”
Jones underwent an MRI on Monday and is considered week-to-week with an MRI sprain. He is not expected to play in Week 12, so expect AJ Dillon to be next in line for RB carries. Jones did not practice on Monday.
D’Onta Foreman, Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory on Sunday, and in so doing, they may be down an RB. Foreman finished Sunday as RB24, with 14 yards rushing and one TD. Foreman first hurt himself in the first quarter but returned to score a TD.
He ended up playing only 24% of the snaps, as he went down to an ankle injury in the third quarter that led him to leave the field for good. If Foreman has to miss any time, the backfield will be split between Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson.
