Matthew Stafford, known for his powerful arm that led the LA Rams to a Super Bowl win, is also making a meaningful impact by raising awareness about infertility. Along with his wife, Kelly, he supports those struggling with infertility through the Chosen Fertility organization.

Kelly, on the board of Chosen Fertility, attended the organization’s recent Met Gala event on March 3, which celebrated the launch of the foundation’s expansion into Los Angeles.
On Instagram, she shared her personal connection to the cause, writing:
“Even though it’s been years since our own experience with infertility, it’s a community you belong to forever. 1 in 6 couples struggle to conceive but as a society we still have a long ways to go in raising awareness and having open conversations about it.”
She continued: “@chosenfertility offers financial and educational support for people on their fertility journeys. It was an honor to help kick off their expansion to LA this last weekend❤️ See my highlights for more information on how to donate or bid on silent auction items.”

The Staffords have four children: twins Sawyer and Hunter, who are seven; Chandler, age six; and Tyler, who’s four. His family has played a big role in his professional decisions. Before Matthew’s Super Bowl win with the Rams in 2022, he talked about how important his family’s support has been.
“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them,” Stafford told PEOPLE. “I would never have made the decision to go in and ask to be traded [somewhere] unless I had full support from my family and understanding that things were going to change, things were going to be different both professionally and personally.”
Matthew’s trade from the Detroit Lions to the Rams was a big change, and he knew he could only take that step with his family’s support.
“Having that support is the reason that I’m here today,” he added. “The fact that we got chosen to join the LA Rams is something that we feel so blessed to be a part of and have that opportunity.”
Talking about how his family empowered him during the Super Bowl run, Stafford continued:
“There have been times where we’ve struggled on the field, and you get to go home to a wife and four little girls who just want to play dress-up and talk to you about something other than football. A lot of times, that’s exactly what I need.”
“They’re always supporting me just by being themselves. They mean the world to me. It’s so much fun to share this opportunity with them, and I know they’ll be cheering loud on Sunday.”
After much deliberation and trade speculation, Matthew is staying in Los Angeles. The team announced last week that they’re working on a deal.
