Fantasy Injury Update: Keenan Allen, Noah Brown, and Sterling Shepard Impacting Week 12 Rankings

Several WRs are battling injuries in Week 12. Here are injury updates regarding Keenan Allen, Noah Brown, and Sterling Shepard.

Setting up your lineups for Week 12 will be a delicate dance since games start with a big slate on Thursday. The more information fantasy football managers can get about their players, the better. What is the latest on Keenan Allen, Noah Brown, and Sterling Shepard?

    WR Injury Updates

Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers’ star WR Allen is currently the WR2 on the season, on the back of 1,011 yards receiving and seven TDs. The Chargers play Baltimore this week, and not having Allen in the lineup would be tough to overcome.

Allen was limited in practice on Wednesday, dealing with his shoulder issue. Before last Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, Allen was listed as questionable, but he did end up playing. Because he was able to take the field in Week 11, fantasy managers are hopeful that the limited tag this week is simply maintenance and a precautionary move.

If Allen cannot play in Week 12, expect more targets heading rookie Quentin Johnston’s way — as long as he tries a little harder to come down with them.

    Noah Brown, WR, Houston Texans

The Houston Texans and QB C.J. Stroud have had a surprising embarrassment of riches this season when it comes to pass catchers. From Tank Dell to Nico Collins to Brown, WRs have been continually stepping up and delivering.

Unfortunately, after missing Week 11 due to a knee issue, Brown might be on pace to miss Week 12 against Jacksonville.

Brown missed the entire week of practice last week and has not been able to return to practice this week. He did not participate on Wednesday. If Brown has to sit another week, expect another potential monster game from Tank Dell, with some Nico Collins sprinkled in.

Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants

New York Giants QB Tommy DeVito surprised everyone in Week 11 with an excellent performance against the Washington Commanders, but his WR Shepard did not reap any of the benefits. Shepard only had three targets. He caught one ball for five yards and has had no fantasy impact so far this season, sitting at WR143.

He is currently dealing with a hip injury and was limited in practice on Wednesday. If Shepard has to miss this week, expect the targets to be spread around to three or four other WRs. Saquon Barkley might just be the benefactor in the passing game — he had five targets last week from DeVito.
