Kansas City Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed Hopes to Return Next Season
Chiefs cornerback L’Jarius Sneed spoke to the media on Tuesday in a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City. Kansas City placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on Sneed earlier in March, allowing Sneed to search for better deals and the Chiefs to match any contract offers.
The two-time Super Bowl champion made it known that he’d love to return to the team, per KSHB 41, Kansas City’s NBC affiliate station.
“Two is legendary, but three? You never get tired of getting rings,” Sneed said. “Hopefully, I’m with the Chiefs. Hopefully, I’m still here, and we can go back and repeat.”
Sneed, 27, has played four seasons with the Chiefs since being drafted out of Louisiana Tech with the 138th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. In four years, Sneed has 303 tackles (233 solo), 19 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, 40 pass deflections, and 10 interceptions returned for 105 yards.
