Thanks to Taylor Swift’s support, the Kansas City Chiefs fan base has grown considerably over the last year and a half. The wildly popular singer-songwriter started dating Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce in Sept. 2023 and has since attended several highly publicized games at Arrowhead Stadium.
Has Taylor Swift Grown the Kansas City Chiefs’ Fan Base?
Gracie Hunt, the Chiefs’ heiress and daughter of team owner, Clark Hunt, told People Magazine that Swift has grown the team’s following by 30% to 40% since showing up to her first game.
“She is absolutely incredible, beautiful, and wonderful, and it’s been such a special time to have her be a part of Chiefs Kingdom.”

When Did Swift Start Attending Chiefs Games?
Swift’s first appearance was in Week 3 of 2023 when Kansas City defeated the Chicago Bears, 40-10.
Swift, who is often alongside Hunt, has been a good luck charm for the Chiefs, as the team tends to play well when she’s in the building. The Chiefs are 7-0 in the games that Swift has attended in the 2024-25 season, and she was there for Kansas City’s win over the San Francisco 49ers in last year’s Super Bowl.
Will she make a return in the 2024 NFL playoffs after the team’s first-round bye? The answer is not currently clear at the time of writing; however, Kelce offered a bit of a hint on the answer to that question ahead of their Divisional Round matchup with the Houston Texans on Jan. 18.
Naturally, though, the next question is whether there will be a 2025 season for Kelce, who is now 35 years old and played 12 seasons in the NFL.
Swift Supports Travis Kelce’s Impending Decision on Future With Chiefs
Despite rumors of possibly retiring, Kelce seems at the moment to want to continue playing — and Swift supports that decision.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” Kelce said on a Jan. 15 episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show.” She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me, so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
Kelce offered insight into the state of his relationship with the pop star sensation.
“I’m enjoying all aspects of life. Me and Taylor are happy,” he said. “I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium.”
