Kansas City Chiefs 2025 7-Round Mock Draft: TreVeyon Henderson Joins Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Chiefs bring in help at running back, wide receiver, and offensive tackle, while Tacario Davis boosts the CB room.

This 2025 NFL Mock Draft follows the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs as they seek to strengthen their roster. They go for defensive help early, but also aggressively attack the offensive side of the ball — a side Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid know how to manage.

Who Could the Kansas City Chiefs Draft in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Note: The draft order for the 2025 NFL Mock Draft was derived from my record and playoff predictions for the 2024 NFL regular season.

1.30) Kansas City Chiefs: Tacario Davis, CB, Arizona

A new rookie won’t solve the Chiefs’ youth problem on the boundary. But if you’re going to pick a rookie, why not pick one who’s technically sound and disciplined beyond his years?

Tacario Davis has the length and physicality Steve Spagnuolo likes, and while he’s especially good in side-saddle, he can impose his will in man and carry WRs upfield.

2.62) Kansas City Chiefs: TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

Investing into the future at RB isn’t a bad idea for the Chiefs, and TreVeyon Henderson is a savvy addition this late.

The 5’10”, 213-pound back has stellar vision, snappy agility, and powerful open-field burst, and he functions as a high-level receiving threat.

3.70) Kansas City Chiefs (via TEN): Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

If Kingsley Suamataia gets off to a slow start, Aireontae Ersery could add needed fuel to the OT battle in Kansas City with his explosiveness and mauler mentality.

3.94) Kansas City Chiefs: Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

Jayden Higgins could be a diamond in the rough with his throttle control and multi-phase appeal at 6’4″, 215 pounds. The Chiefs know how to find and maximize those players.

    Rounds 4-7

4.127) Francisco Mauigoa, LB, Miami (FL)
5.159) DeAndre Jules, DT, South Carolina
7.198) Will Howard, QB, Ohio State
    7.207) Daylan Dotson, EDGE, UCF

Chiefs 2025 NFL Mock Draft Analysis

Looking at the Chiefs’ roster as a whole, there’s one void that stands out more than the rest, and that’s boundary cornerback.

Steve Spagnuolo and the defensive coaching staff have proven they can develop talent and position players to succeed, but the need might still remain in 2025. If it does, Tacario Davis is a quality add with his length, physicality, ball skills, and age-defying instincts.

Davis leads off this Chiefs mock draft on a strong note, but after his pick, the Chiefs pivoted all the way to the offensive side for their remaining early-round selections.

TreVeyon Henderson brings dynamic ability to the RB room, and Aireontae Ersery brings power and explosiveness to the OT battle.

The sleeper in this group is Jayden Higgins out of Iowa State. Higgins broke out for 53 catches, 983 yards, and six touchdowns in 2023. At 6’4″, 215 pounds, he’s a surprisingly energetic accelerator and is fluid enough to stack transitions as a route runner.

On Day 3, the Chiefs added an attacking linebacker in Francisco Mauigoa, an athletic and powerful interior defender in DeAndre Jules, a big EDGE with heavy hands in Daylan Dotson, and a competent backup QB candidate in Will Howard.
