Johnson Betting Trends and Stats
The Panthers’ defense ranked ninth in the NFL last season in fewest receptions allowed by tight ends (70).
Johnson Best Bet
Johnson probably wants to erase some sour memories of last season’s two matchups vs. the Panthers. In those two games vs. Carolina — both starts — Johnson had a combined total of two targets, one reception, and zero touchdowns.

Johnson had a decent effort in Week 1 vs. the Titans, with three receptions for 36 yards. But Johnson just entered his fourth season, and the number of times he has had back-to-back games with at least three catches is twice, the last time coming this past November.
The combination of the Panthers’ ability to defend the tight end position and Johnson’s own struggles with Carolina in the past make this a matchup where taking the over on any of Johnson’s prop bets may not be wise. With Michael Thomas healthy and Chris Olave establishing himself as the team’s No. 1 receiver, there probably won’t be as many opportunities to catch passes as there were last season for Johnson.
So, for me, even though the number is already low, I’m taking the under on his total receiving yards.
Juwan Johnson Best Bet: Under on 23.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at DraftKings)
